Sometimes price hike is also caused by the devaluation of money and inflation.
It is also caused if demand is greater than supply. It affects the poor and the middle income group severely. The day labourers cannot lead their lives properly due to price hike. On the other hand, the dishonest businessmen become rich overnight. The government and the authority concerned should take effective measures to control price hike. The dishonest businessmen should be given punishment by the government. Goverment should monitor the markets of daily necessary goods. Production of all types of food and other daily necessities must be increased. People who buy necessary things should be made aware of their rights and responsibilities as consumers and customers.
There should be mobile police teams in every market so that they can control the market condition. Also government can start public sale points to sell necessary goods to people so that immoral retailers cannot increase the price of products anytime. By materializing all these, price hike will come under control.
